Last week a sound pulled me awake,
A sigh, a growl, it made me quake,
My paranoia ran too deep,
For me to once more get to sleep.
What fangs?! What claws?! were in the dark,
That morning banished by the lark.
Her dulcet tones spelt sweet release,
The monster left, I slept in peace.
But with the dusk he came again,
And though his shape I did not ken,
I knew the hungry thing was there,
I felt his desperate, greedy stare.
And from the corner of my eye,
A shadow loomed, I heard a cry,
My last nerve broke! I hit the light,
And saw a tail bound out of sight.
First fangs and claws, now bushy tail!
Gnashing teeth and
There's beauty!
Where? Beneath the flab,
Peel off the clothes,
Pull back the fat.
Reveal the gaunt and twisted thing
That dwelt beneath the ghastly skin.
Tie back the hair, reveal the face,
Beneath the gore resides our case,
The masterpiece we'll call our own;
The girl that hid within the crone.
Our eyes are sharp,
Our knives are keen,
She'll hardly even feel a thing as we
mold and sculpt beneath the skin.
And when we're done,
What pride she'll feel!
This face we give that isn't real
Will bless her with true love for life,
Until the Belle begins to fade,
And then once more she'll need our blade.
I feel like such an attention-seeker because so many of my photographs explore sexuality which usually involves me showing a bit of tit. Unfortunately, I have no one one else to model for me! So if anyone is in Perth and wants to take some pics with me (doesn't have to be showing any boob by the way) send me a msg!
So I've just uploaded some photos to my series on "violence" and it's already causing a stir, which is good I suppose since this is a website for art. I'm told that self-harm is against the rules, which makes sense, to which I respond: READ THE ALBUM DESCRIPTION. No one was harmed to make these photos. Moreover, the assumption that these photos are in fact self-harm is quite fascinating to me in itself.
I can't believe all the positive feedback I'm getting! I never even thought of myself as an artistic person but all these lovely comments and pics being added to favourites etc. thank you all so much! I feel so welcome!
